I started Spirit Academy in junior year of high school as a way to pass the time in boring classes.
Originally it was just a fluffy fun project that I never thought would go anywhere. I posted the
pages on DeviantArt, and was happy to get a few comments for each page. These high school pages
are what I call chapter one. When I left for college I thought I'd leave SA behind as well... But I just
couldn't get it out of my head. One night I got a story arc in my head, and I couldn't sleep until I'd
drawn it all. I stayed up all night and drew what I now call chapter two. Some months passed, and
I thought SA was gone again. But then, lo and behold, chapter three got a hold of me. By the time
I was drawing chapter three I was doing it completely in Deleter Comicworks, and really putting
some effort into it. I decided this story wasn't going to die, and I was going to put my full effort
into making this work as a web manga. This is why there are three such drastic jumps in skill
level in the manga so far, but expect smooth sailing from here on out.
