IT'S OVER 9000!!!

Notes for Chapter One
I'm sure you've noticed the dramatic style/skill difference from the
art on the front page.  This is because I began drawing this manga in
high school. I'm now a junior in college. I've gotten much better,
acquired new technology, and in general become more awesome.
Here's a little comparison between the style jumps with my
comments, just for fun. ^_^
Chapter 1
12/5/04-2/27/05
Chapter 2
11/17/05
(Drawn in one night)
Chapter 3
3/26/06-2/23/07
Chapter 4
3/6/07-Present
Attack of the curly Q's!
This heavy handed
inking didn't do me any
favors. This was drawn
in Painter IX before I
was very familiar with
the program. Eeesh.
This was drawn in
what I like to call
now, "The great
seaweed hair
epidemic of '04". At
the time I was
convinced I had to
draw every little
section. I know better
now.
The curly Q's live on! I
always knew that Maya's
hair was short and curly.
You lucky people get to
watch my struggle to
convey that. '06 was the
year the infamous nose
thief was about running
amuck. Almost no one in
this chapter escaped. This
was also the first chapter
drawn completely in
COMICWORKS.
While I'm still smoothing it
out every day, I think I've
finally got Maya down pat.
Short, curly hair. It only
took me three years to get
it right.
His chubby baby
face amuses me
now.
Everything in
this image is a
disaster. Don't
even get me
started.
Getting better... I don't
know if anyone notice
but this chapter I added
the little mole in the
corner of his eye.
I've been drawing him
better since this, this is
just the best picture of
him in this chapter so
far. Phin has been
eating up screen time.
Seaweed haaaair!
I apparently went
completely retarded
during this chapter and
drew the curves of the
spikes
the wrong
direction.
That's some
impressive idiocy. I
already knew how to do
it right. I just forgot.
I've finally settled
into his character
design, giving him
the cute flip, or duck
butt, I always
intended. Go me.
